Director of AI & Business Solutions

Talent Acquisition at Blue WaterOcean City, MD
$110,000 - $160,000Hybrid

About The Position

Blue Water Hospitality is seeking a Director of AI & Business Solutions to own the build of the company's AI-native operating platform. This role is for a builder who embeds within revenue management, marketing, operations, and finance teams to identify leverage points and build solutions. The individual will break down processes into human-owned and agent-owned components, build them to prove their value, and then translate successful builds into technical scopes for contracted engineers to scale. This position is a core member of the AI Task Force, reporting to the SVP of Capital Investments, with the goal of transitioning Blue Water's operations from human-run to system-run for increased speed, accuracy, and efficiency, ultimately driving measurable operating leverage across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Innovation or business-solutions background, with a track record of shipping working pilots.
  • Experience carrying ideas from whiteboard to working tool and getting them past the pilot stage.
  • 7+ years of professional experience.
  • 3+ years of building with AI, automation, or digital transformation, with a track record of delivering into production with measurable business value.
  • Strong process and workflow mapping ability.
  • Strong project management skills (scope, budget, sequence, drive initiatives).
  • Genuine hands-on technical depth (automation, coding, databases, AI harnessing, context engineering).
  • LLM fluency with practical, hands-on experience with modern AI tools and agentic workflows.
  • Executive and operator communication skills.
  • Bias toward outcomes over credentials.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospitality, property management, real estate, or PE-backed operations.
  • Hands-on workflow automation (Zapier, Make, n8n, Microsoft Power Automate) and scripting (Python, SQL).
  • Familiarity with the modern data stack (e.g., Snowflake, dbt).
  • RPA background (UiPath, Power Automate) and/or agentic / multi-agent system experience.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project-management credential.

Responsibilities

  • Build small wins yourself by standing up automations, prompts, and lightweight tools end-to-end.
  • Scope big builds for others to scale by translating proven builds into clean technical scopes and budgets, then directing contracted engineering and database specialists.
  • Own the project portfolio by running intake, prioritization, sequencing, and delivery for the AI Task Force.
  • Drive adoption by translating operator pain into usable tools and demonstrating value to skeptical teams.
  • Govern build-vs-contract decisions, selecting and managing vendors, and maintaining spending discipline.
  • Attack variance by using standardized, AI-audited workflows to reduce performance inconsistency across the portfolio.
  • Measure and report on throughput, cycle time, automation hours saved, and NOI impact.
