About The Position

QSL Management is hiring a Director of Activities for The Blake at Miramar Beach. The company provides resort-style senior living and emphasizes wellness, security, longevity, family, joy, self-worth, and team member growth. The Director of Activities plans and oversees the Activities Department, creates resident engagement opportunities, and organizes recreational activities and events for residents and their families.

Requirements

Have a caring heart and a willingness to serve others.
Have experience with the geriatric population, including Alzheimer's and dementia, and be able to adapt to changing behaviors.
Demonstrate computer skills with Microsoft Word and Office.
Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Be flexible with the work schedule, including holidays and weekends.
Have the ability to multitask and strong organization, communication, and public relations skills.
Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Teaching experience or adult learning experience.
Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Responsibilities

Develop and implement an annual calendar of activities that offers residents opportunities to socialize and participate in recreational activities each day.
Plan in-house events and off-campus activities that promote family, joy, and socialization and reflect the culture of the geographic area.
Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Activities Department.
Supervise appropriate staff.
Develop a monthly newsletter for residents and mail recipients.
Facilitate and encourage resident engagement through activities.
Market activities and events to family members through social media.
