About The Position

As our Director Nursing ICU for St. Bernardine Medical Center, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating the overall performance of our critical care services. You will oversee Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Dialysis services. Every day, you will direct the operations, work with Sr. Leadership on key initiatives, and work with other front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in very fast paced environments. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced director, with a track record of success in mid to large sized hospitals overseeing critical care / ICU services. You must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience.
  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
