About The Position

Iyuno is seeking a Director, Media Engineering with deep media supply-chain expertise and experience leading software engineers. The role requires technical understanding of media orchestration, post-production workflows or broadcast engineering, including ingest, transcode, conform, quality control, packaging and delivery.

The director will lead a development team, guide technical design and estimates, and be accountable for the team’s shipped work rather than individual coding output. A central focus is identifying valuable work proactively, building the case for it, and driving it through to production. The role also calls for repeatedly delivering production systems that remain operational and are adopted by users, grounding designs in input from operators, surfacing dependencies early, and representing Iyuno credibly in design discussions with studio engineering teams.

Salary: $140,000–$150,000.

Requirements

• Experience in media orchestration, post-production workflow, or broadcast engineering.
• Technical-level understanding of ingest, transcode, conform, QC, packaging, and delivery.
• Experience managing a development team.
• Ability to review designs, challenge estimates, and read code.
• Track record of delivering production systems that remain live and are adopted by users.
• Ability to identify initiatives independently and drive them through production.
• Ability to gather operator input and design around real workflows.
• Ability to identify and raise dependencies and blockers early.
• Ability to represent Iyuno credibly in technical design discussions with studio engineering teams.
