About The Position
The Director, Laboratory Services provides leadership for laboratory operations and requires strong generalist laboratory knowledge, including core laboratory, microbiology, and blood bank. The role works collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and communicates with hospital team members, physicians, patients, and community professionals. Experience with CAP accreditation is expected; phlebotomy oversight experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, or a related science.
- Certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
- Seven years of experience in a laboratory.
- Five years of leadership experience.
- Strong generalist laboratory knowledge and skills, including core lab, microbiology, and blood bank.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
- Interpersonal communication skills for working with hospital team members, physicians, patients, and community professionals.
- Experience with CAP accreditation is expected.
