About The Position

This role oversees all technology operations and evaluates them according to established goals. The Director - IT participates as a member of the senior management team in governance processes of the organization's architecture, telecommunications, networks, programming, media, and desktops. This position conducts research to stay knowledgeable about industry trends and emerging technologies, analyzes and recommends technology standards, and provides cost-effective resolution to technical problems. The Director - IT assesses and communicates risks associated with technology investments, develops and controls technical services budgets, and defines requirements for new technology implementations. They ensure continuous delivery of technical services, adherence to laws and regulations, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI rules. This role also defines and tests disaster recovery and business continuity plans, recommends and controls projects, reviews acquisition contracts, and assists in building vendor relationships.

  • Ability to recommend, prioritize, and control projects and project portfolios.

  • Assesses and communicates risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases.
  • Working with corporations, develops, tracks, and controls the technical services annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.
  • Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.
  • Defines requirements for new technology implementations and communicate them to key business stakeholders.
  • Ensures continuous delivery of technical services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems, programs, and equipment performance.
  • Ensures equipment and software operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with, and adhere to, all gaming regulations.
  • Defines and communicates corporate procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new network systems, equipment, software, and other technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with established internal control policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI rules and regulations.
  • Ensures continuity of service by defining and testing disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Recommends, prioritizes, and controls projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
  • Reviews hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and purse master agreements to capitalize on economics of scale.
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.
  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate according to established goals.
