About The Position

As Director, Human Resources, you will serve as the trusted HR leader for our Product and Technology organization and act as the HR lead for our Montreal office. Supporting approximately 100 employees, you'll partner closely with business leaders to shape organizational design, talent strategy, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and performance. You will also ensure our people practices remain compliant, equitable, and aligned with our values while fostering an exceptional employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior HR Business Partner, HR Director, or equivalent leadership role.
  • Experience supporting Product, Engineering, Technology, or other technical organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec employment legislation, the Canada Labour Code, and Quebec Pay Equity requirements.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written), enabling effective support of a bilingual workforce and compliance with Bill 96 requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and build trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging HR metrics and workforce data to guide decisions.
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR partner to Product and Technology leaders, providing strategic guidance on organizational effectiveness, talent planning, leadership development, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, job architecture, and headcount strategy.
  • Coach managers and senior leaders through complex people-related decisions, helping them build high-performing and inclusive teams.
  • Lead the Canadian performance management cycle, including goal setting, calibration sessions, talent reviews, development planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to identify, develop, and retain top talent while supporting career growth and internal mobility.
  • Collaborate on hiring strategies to attract and secure exceptional talent in a competitive technology market.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, ranging from day-to-day coaching to workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Quebec employment legislation, the Canada Labour Code, Bill 96 language requirements, pay equity obligations, and other applicable employment regulations.
  • Continuously review and enhance HR policies and practices to ensure legal compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including survey action planning, recognition programs, and culture-building activities that strengthen our employee experience.
  • Partner with the CHRO and Finance teams on compensation programs, market benchmarking, and pay equity reviews for Canadian employees.
  • Use HR metrics and workforce analytics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the HR lead for the Montreal office, helping foster a connected, engaging, and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Ensure the integrity of employee data within the HRIS and oversee HR reporting and workforce metrics.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small HR team, including an HR & Office Coordinator and a Recruiter, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational excellence across all HR functions.
