About The Position

The Human Resources Director, Warehouse is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function for several RJW Warehouses. This position manages employees of the HR department at RJW Warehouses and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and four to 10 years' related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals.
  • Ability to write letters and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all groups of employees, customers, and clients.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • SPHR or SHRM Senior Certified Professional or PHR or SHRM-CP Certified Professional credential.

Responsibilities

  • Manages HR Managers and HR Admin personnel across the RJW Warehouses
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision.
  • Initiates, coordinates and enforces optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Develops strategies for performance evaluation, staffing training and development.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Deals with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
  • Anticipates and resolve litigation risks
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
  • Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  • Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
  • Assists CHRO t in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CHRO, on personnel matters.
  • Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization.
  • Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs.
  • Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
