This role is for an experienced marketer to champion HCV Promotions for healthcare providers, reporting directly to the Senior Director, HCV Marketing. The position involves a leadership role in shaping and executing innovative marketing strategies to optimize promotions across personal and non-personal channels for a market-leading brand. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, coachable, perceptive, an analytical problem solver with a track record in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry, comfortable with ambiguity, a team player, inclusive, and trustworthy, always prioritizing patients. Key responsibilities include driving bold creative campaigns to educate HCPs, developing compelling stories from clinical data, and translating data-driven insights into impactful promotional programs.

Requirements

  • Track record of developing successful pharmaceutical/biotech marketing strategies, with HCP Promotions experience preferred.
  • Expertise leading the development of pharmaceutical promotional tools for use in personal and non-personal promotions channels.
  • Experience collaborating with and inspiring sales team members.
  • Proven ability to leverage market insights from multiple data sources to uncover needs, informing brand strategy and translating into tactics.
  • Development of KPIs and implementation of systematic monitoring plans to closely track promotional effectiveness and optimize marketing mix.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements and their impact on HCP marketing.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to successfully manage external agencies to develop programs and materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, with an understanding of budget planning and tracking.
  • Responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through coupled with ability to prioritize/multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to lead by example, displaying integrity, collaboration, accessibility, adaptability, sound judgment/decision making, and an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years’ Experience OR Masters' Degree and Ten Years’ Experience OR PhD and Eight Years’ Experience

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, including with mature brands.
  • Field Sales experience.
  • Pharmaceutical HCP Promotions experience.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MD).
  • Experience in digital and e-Marketing tactics, including metrics and optimization.
  • Experience in infectious disease or other specialty therapeutic areas.
  • Experience with advocacy, health systems, and community engagement is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of U.S. HCP personal promotion strategy and executional plan ensuring alignment with brand objectives and evolving market dynamics.
  • Develop and refresh HCP promotional campaigns, ensuring relevance and resonance with HCPs.
  • Create materials for HCP personal promotion in partnership with Sales Leadership, including call flows, objection handling, and sales tools tailored to a mature brand.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to define Sales training objectives and content as well as support execution of workshops at national sales meetings.
  • Oversee HCP non-personal tactical initiatives including but not limited to websites, social media, digital/print media initiatives, SEO/SEM, email marketing to optimize success of the brand.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to internal stakeholders and external audiences, translating strategy into action.
  • Generate and synthesize insights from multiple data sources to inform strategic decisions and optimize promotional impact.
  • Define and track marketing KPIs, using data to drive continuous improvement and performance optimization.
  • Serve as a core team member for brand strategy and annual plan of action development.
  • Effectively manage multiple agency relationships and budgets, ensuring high-quality output and fiscal discipline.
  • Manage Medical-Legal-Regulatory review committee discussions to ensure promotional tools and communications are compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
