About The Position

This role leads, creates, and develops strategies and revenue-generating promotions and events for the casino, ensuring attention to detail and compliance with state regulations. The position involves formulating and implementing short- and long-range goals, overseeing operating budgets, and collaborating with the analytic team for post-event analysis and recommendations. The supervisor is responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and managing Promotion Coordinators, as well as scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage for all events. A comprehensive execution plan is developed to ensure clear understanding of promotion/event details.

Requirements

  • College degree in Marketing or relevant field. Minimum of three years of relevant job experience. (Additional experience may substitute for educational requirement).
  • Ability to communicate and interact verbally and in writing with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Competent in presenting facts and ideas in an organized and detailed manner.
  • Highly motivated and comfortable working with the public.
  • Self-starter must have strong follow-through skills.
  • Strong internal/external customer services skills.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Capable of working under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Skilled in training all different personality types.
  • Strong grammar and editing skills, although minimal actual copywriting is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong computer skills, fluency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Access) required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Working experience of Super Playmate, Outlook and Publisher are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, creates and develops strategies and revenue-generating promotions and events that encompass the casino with attention to detail.
  • Creates promotion/event proposals, fact sheets, proposed budgets and rules.
  • Submits proposals and rules for approval to IRGC representatives and/or legal counsel to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Formulates and implements both short-range and long-range goals and objectives for each promotion and event.
  • Oversight of operating budget for Entertainment, Promotions and Comp Food areas to ensure budget adherence.
  • Collaborates with the analytic team to prepare subjective analyses of completed promotions and events with recommendations for enhancements for future.
  • Interviews, hires, trains and manages Promotion Coordinators.
  • Schedules staff to ensure adequate staffing for all promotions and events.
  • Develops a comprehensive execution plan to ensure details of the promotion/event are clearly understood with high attention to detail.
