About The Position

SummitMedia has an immediate opening for a Promotion Manager - Create events, build brands, and engage in Brimingham, AL. This role involves managing the promotion and direction of promotional activities that improve the brand's image in Birmingham. The position requires collaboration with multiple departments to create and execute promotions such as remotes, events, van hits, and other street team activities from start to finish. The Promotions Director will also attend client meetings, present promotional ideas, drive promotional vehicles, and coordinate/oversee on-site appearances, remotes, and events. Additionally, the role includes performing basic office administrative functions, updating the station website, conducting on-site promotions, handling clients and listeners, and setting up/running audio and other equipment, hanging banners, and other staging elements. The job also entails setting up, breaking down, and transporting promotion event equipment, and preparing contest rules, waivers, prize fulfillment, and release forms for all contests.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in outdoor promotions and/or marketing and/or customer service preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Canva
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
  • High work standards and attention to detail
  • Physical ability to stand for multiple hours and lift or move 40-pound objects
  • Communicate effectively with both staff and leadership
  • Ability to create an environment that benefits everyone in it, contributing to the overall success
  • Must reside or relocate to Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities
