About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent bridge student assistant position available in Communication Studies. This role involves coordinating community engagement activities, providing public relations and promotional support, attending staff meetings, and developing/maintaining the KCSS Website and Social Media channels. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
• Demonstrates effective organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Applicants must submit a completed Stanislaus State online employment application and resumé.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of alternative music formats.
• Demonstrates the willingness to commit to employment through May 31, 2027.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of the operation of a college radio station, some management, and non-commercial radio experience.
• Demonstrates completion of one semester of COMM 3112.
• Demonstrates prior experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community engagement activities for KCSS Radio Station including live music for Warrior Wednesday and other campus events.
• Provide public relations and promotional support for the KCSS student management team.
• Attend regular KCSS staff meetings.
• Develop and maintain the KCSS Website and Social Media channels.
• Other duties as assigned.
