Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or similar
  • 14+ years of combined experience across Finance, Demand Planning & Forecasting, Business Planning, and Operations
  • 10+ years People Management experience including executive experience leading managers across multiple departments and functions
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience navigating large, Fortune 500 matrix organizations
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to make decisions, to give direction, and to measure individual/team performance

Responsibilities

  • Drives demand planning, business operations and supply chain management for the GVI and MX Care+ teams.
  • Communicates opportunities and builds consensus, as well as drives operational programs focused on innovation and growth.
  • Works with respective business units, SEA leadership, and headquarters in Suwon, South Korea.
  • Sponsors approaches that encourage efficiency; from developing and/or enhancing processes to implementing systems with the goal of driving synergies and building efficiencies.
  • Leads regular C-Level executive reporting and strategy sessions.
  • Develops data-driven demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and promotional impact analyses.
  • Tracks sales trends across channels to refine inventory planning and maximize sell-through.
  • Evaluates upcoming promotional campaigns, incorporating the impact into demand forecasts.
  • Understands external market trends and competitor positioning to inform forecasting strategies.
  • Identifies financial risks and growth opportunities, ensuring targets are met through data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborates with supply chain and operations teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, avoid stockouts or excess inventory, manage aged inventory, and ensure inventory is properly priced within the ERP system.
  • Partners with product, marketing, finance, and sales teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Provides reports detailing forecast accuracy, sales performance comparing target, and promotional impact to senior leadership; continuously refines forecasting methods.
  • Utilizes forecasting software and AI-driven tools to improve prediction accuracy and efficiency.
  • Leads strategic planning and annual management plan development process via collecting and synthesizing key market trends, business requirements and strategic priorities across key business units and functions, to provide a consolidated view of the market, business targets and key execution strategies.
  • Manages annual/quarterly strategic plans and management KPIs.
  • Creates and formulates clear and succinct narrative and quantitative analysis of the market landscape, competitive and customer analysis and how Samsung should position and navigate the changing market conditions and challenges to achieve the business goals and objectives.
  • Communicates, collaborates and project manages key cross-functional initiatives.
  • Iterates realignment, reinforcement of the key objectives, goals and strategy based on changes in the market dynamics and business situation in real time.
  • Tracks and manages various strategic initiatives, key tasks and requests in a systematic manner (strategic Initiatives and tasks may come from Strategic Planning reviews, Top Management meetings, team workshops etc.).
  • Collaborates across cross-functional Samsung teams to track down key tasks and activities and provide periodic and ad hoc updates on the progress.
  • Organizes and provides progress visibility to key stakeholders proactively.
  • Leads coordination and operation of cross-functional initiatives and projects to address specific business needs.
  • Develops key narratives and builds project plans to organize, track and manage the projects throughout the year.
  • Conducts post mortems for enhancing the project outcome in the future.
  • Leads the development of weekly integrated operations reports that create a clear analysis and narrative of how GVI lines of business perform across sales, marketing, SCM, financial and operational views.
  • Provides critical market/competitive insights that informs the organization for strategic changes.
  • Leads weekly, monthly, quarterly business review meetings (WBR/MBR/QBR) to address key business and operational issues and resolve business decisions.
  • Leads top executive management workshops and business reviews to continue alignment of key business priorities and strategies.
  • Manages, coordinates and communicates division wide KPI’s and MBO’s with key executive stakeholders.
