About The Position

This role provides dedicated growth and distribution leadership for Optum Financial Provider Products while partnering closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, Sales Operations, and provider-facing organizations across UHG and Optum. The Director, Growth & Distribution will partner with Marketing on provider value proposition, positioning, messaging architecture, and lifecycle strategy while owning the development and activation of sales and marketing campaigns, internal distribution channels, referral opportunities, and strategic growth relationships across Provider Products. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in growth strategy, distribution, business development, campaign management, marketing operations, sales campaign execution, or related roles
Demonstrated ability to identify automation opportunities and leverage AI to improve productivity and quality
Experience identifying and developing distribution, referral, channel, or strategic partnership opportunities
Experience leading campaigns or growth initiatives across sales, marketing, product, compliance, legal, operations, and executive stakeholders
Demonstrated business development, project leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to translate growth strategy and approved messaging into practical campaign, channel, and distribution execution plans
Must be able/willing to travel approximately 25%25 of the time as business needs dictate

Nice To Haves

Healthcare, financial services, banking, lending, payments, fintech, or revenue cycle experience
Experience developing internal enterprise channels, external distribution relationships, referral opportunities, strategic partnerships, or partner-supported campaigns
Experience working with provider-facing teams, field sales organizations, business development teams, or distribution partners
Experience navigating legal, compliance, brand, or EMR review processes

Responsibilities

Identify, prioritize, and develop new sources of provider growth across UnitedHealth Group, Optum, UnitedHealthcare, and external ecosystems
Source and advance internal and external distribution opportunities, including referral relationships, strategic partnerships, channel opportunities, and enterprise collaborations
Build relationships with provider-facing organizations, business leaders, and prospective distribution partners to expand market access and product adoption
Develop repeatable frameworks for evaluating, activating, and scaling growth opportunities across the Provider Products portfolio
Partner with Marketing on provider value proposition, positioning, messaging architecture, persona strategy, and lifecycle marketing, then translate approved strategies into executable campaign and channel plans
Coordinate target audiences, campaign assets, approvals, sales motions, timelines, dependencies, and execution activities across Distribution, Marketing, Product, Sales Enablement, and Operations
Establish campaign calendars, operating routines, governance, and execution plans that improve speed, consistency, and follow-through
Develop and activate growth opportunities across Optum, UnitedHealthcare, and other UHG provider-facing organizations
Build internal referral channels, stakeholder engagement strategies, communication plans, and operating models that support provider awareness, referrals, and cross-sell
Identify partnership opportunities across UHG and Optum, align the appropriate stakeholders, and advance opportunities from initial concept through activation
Capture and share channel feedback, provider insights, objections, and emerging opportunities with Product, Marketing, Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, and leadership
Partner with Growth & Commercial Analytics and Experimentation to evaluate campaign, channel, and distribution performance
Support Voice of Provider and Provider Advisory Board activities that inform growth strategy, channel priorities, and campaign execution
Identify barriers to adoption and recommend actions that improve campaign effectiveness, internal handoffs, partner activation, and provider engagement
Maintain growth learnings, opportunity pipelines, and repeatable playbooks that improve future campaign and distribution execution
