About The Position

Leads the design and development of digital platforms supporting large-scale enterprise digital presence and drives technology and architecture roadmaps. Oversees web applications, API services, and distributed systems using modern frameworks and cloud technologies. Guides teams in automation pipelines, continuous integration and delivery, testing strategies, and DevOps processes. Designs solutions for high-scale processing of large data sets, develops and manages API services, and ensures robust testing and validation. Applies in-depth business or functional knowledge to develop complex, multi-faceted software applications and provide business unit-wide solutions. This role translates business strategy into architectural recommendations and technology solutions, leads and mentors engineers, influences technology roadmaps, and advises senior leadership on technology direction. It partners with business and technology stakeholders to define next-generation ecosystems and promote platform-based architectures, while evaluating emerging technologies for scalability, performance, and customer experience. Solutions include public cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, open-source streaming products, microservices, message-oriented middleware, stream processing, and master data management. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and six years of qualifying experience, or a master's degree in a relevant field and four years of qualifying experience, building multi-tier distributed software applications in customer verification, fraud prevention, and data security environments. Fidelity states it will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout; onsite expectations vary by role and location and may evolve.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent), and six years of experience as a Director, Full Stack Engineering or in a closely related occupation building multi-tier distributed software applications within customer verification, fraud prevention, and data security environments; alternatively, a relevant master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) and four years of such experience.
Expertise developing highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant, performance-efficient, resilient, and secure application solutions using Java, J2EE, and JAX-RS Jersey RESTful web services, and deploying enterprise applications on AWS.
Expertise developing and implementing digital platform-based REST services using the LWC Drop-wizard framework, TDD and BDD methodologies, Cucumber and REST-assured frameworks, and Apigee API Gateway.
Expertise architecting and delivering enterprise financial services applications in distributed environments using microservice architecture, J2EE, and Spring Boot, and developing web service producers and consumers using SOAP/REST and the Open API technology stack.
Expertise implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker UDeploy, Blue/Green deployment, and feature toggles to optimize deployment cycle times and rapidly deploy software changes, and providing rollback strategies to previous artifact versions for production deployments.

Guide implementation of automation pipelines, CI/CD practices, testing strategies, and DevOps processes.
Design and architect solutions for high-scale processing of large data sets.
Develop and manage API services, including versioning, isolation, and microservices.
Ensure robust testing and validation of software applications.
