About The Position

Edelman Financial Engines seeks an experienced financial advisor to provide objective, fee-based financial advice and asset management to clients who have already enrolled with the firm. The advisor focuses on understanding clients’ circumstances, delivering comprehensive financial planning, and helping them make informed decisions to improve their financial well-being. The firm qualifies, enrolls, and assigns clients, so this role does not involve marketing activities or managing a sales pipeline. The position centers on serving clients’ best interests and building trusted, long-term relationships. Advisors receive continuing education and support from dedicated Client Service Managers and retirement planning tools and software. Success is measured through client satisfaction and retention, relationship development, and organic growth through referrals, additional assets, and expanded planning opportunities. Compensation includes a base salary and performance-based bonus; the anticipated total target cash range is $125,000–$350,000.

Requirements

Direct client-facing experience in a fee-based wealth management or planning role.
A consistent track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Ability to deliver comprehensive financial planning and generate organic growth through client retention, referrals, and relationship development.
Active Series 65 license.
Active Health and Life Insurance license, or ability to obtain it within the first three months of employment.
Clean U-4.
Interest in a role with base salary, performance-based compensation, and growing earnings potential.

Nice To Haves
