We’re looking for someone who understands that great events are more than flawless execution — they are a strategic marketing channel that can shape market perception, deepen client relationships and drive measurable business impact. The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of the programmatic advertising and adtech ecosystem with strategic thinking, commercial instincts and hands-on execution. This highly visible role will partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing and Cadent’s executive leadership team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of event marketing experience, ideally within adtech, programmatic advertising, digital media, marketing technology or B2B technology.
  • Strong knowledge of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including brands, agencies, DSPs, SSPs, publishers, data, measurement and CTV.
  • Proven experience developing and executing industry events, customer experiences, executive programs and experiential activations.
  • Ability to connect event strategy to broader company positioning, account engagement, pipeline and revenue objectives.
  • Experience establishing KPIs and demonstrating measurable ROI from event marketing investments.
  • Significant budget management, vendor negotiation and event production experience.
  • Exceptional project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs, stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and executive presence, with experience working directly with senior leaders, customers and industry partners.
  • Strategic, creative, collaborative and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and be onsite for Cadent events.
  • Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Event Strategy & Programming: Develop and own Cadent’s annual event strategy and calendar, aligning investments with company priorities, target audiences and revenue objectives. Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to determine where Cadent should show up, speak, sponsor, host or create proprietary experiences. Build a thoughtful portfolio across major industry moments, customer experiences, executive programs, regional activations and other high-value engagements. Partner with Product Marketing, Content and Communications to develop event themes, agendas, thought leadership and executive programming. Identify creative opportunities to showcase Cadent’s technology, expertise, customers and executives across the industry.
  • Drive Business Impact: Establish clear objectives and KPIs for major events, including target-account engagement, meetings, opportunities, pipeline influence and customer engagement. Partner with Marketing Operations and Sales to ensure event activity and follow-up are captured appropriately in Salesforce. Develop post-event reporting that communicates performance, ROI, insights and recommendations. Use performance data to continually optimize Cadent’s event portfolio and investment strategy.
  • Own Execution, Budget & Partners: Lead events from concept through onsite execution and post-event analysis. Oversee event production, including venues, sponsorships, registration, AV, F&B, branding, transportation, speaker logistics and run-of-show. Manage the annual events budget, forecasting and reconciliation, and negotiate with venues, vendors, agencies and production partners. Evaluate sponsorship and event opportunities based on audience quality, strategic relevance, brand impact and commercial return. Serve as the primary onsite lead for major events, anticipating challenges and ensuring a seamless attendee and executive experience. Own the strategy and sourcing of client gifts, event giveaways and company swag, including vendor management, inventory and fulfillment.
  • Partner Across Cadent: Serve as the central event partner across Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Communications and executive leadership. Build strong relationships with Sales teams to understand customer, pipeline and market priorities. Develop integrated pre-event, onsite and post-event activation plans with Marketing and Sales.
