About The Position

JLL is seeking a Director for its North America region specializing in sustainability and decarbonization strategy to join its Sustainability Consulting practice. The role involves leading project delivery, managing teams, developing solutions for clients, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders. The practice's priorities include developing people, delivering strategic solutions, collaborating across platforms, supporting ambitions beyond the workplace, and applying new technology and data to drive change.

Requirements

Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in real estate sustainability, decarbonization/energy efficiency, ESG strategy/consulting, ESG program management and/or ESG disclosure.
BA/BS degree in sustainability, engineering, real estate, business, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2-4 years of people management experience preferred.
Exceptional capabilities related to Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated experience in presentation delivery, business development, proposal/solution development, sales and client engagement preferred.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in strategy, business, sustainability management or real estate a plus.
Experience with GRESB, CDP, GRI, TCFD, SASB preferred.
Experience with ENERGY STAR, Building HVAC Systems, International Living Futures Institute, Net Zero Carbon, Passive House, Zero Waste a plus.
CEM, CEA, CxA, PE, LEED AP, WELL AP and/or Fitwel Ambassador a plus.

Responsibilities

Create and deliver strategy, advisory, and program management engagements.
Manage project delivery teams comprised of Associate Project Managers through Senior Project Managers.
Develop and adhere to workplans, vision deliverables, and manage client relationships.
Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders and JLL collaborators.
Collaborate with leadership to determine project resourcing needs, escalations, and ensure quality control of client-facing deliverables.
Connect client needs, team capabilities, sustainability subject matter expertise, real estate industry requirements, and future revenue considerations.
Manage and develop direct reports focused on ESG strategy, advisory, program management, reporting, and disclosure.
Oversee resource allocation, high-level problem-solving, and provide feedback and coaching.
Develop effective solutions for proposed scopes of work for potential clients.
Engage current and prospective clients in developing tailored strategy and advisory scopes.
Coordinate engagement with internal JLL business units across account management, project management, brokerage, and global sustainability.
Act as a connection between the ESG Advisory Practice in North America and the Global Sustainability Consulting Platform.
