About The Position

Telnyx is seeking a Director or VP of Enterprise Sales to build and lead its North American enterprise sales organization. The role is focused on winning major enterprises directly—not managing ISV or platform accounts—and establishing a repeatable sales motion and team that can scale. The title will be calibrated to the leader’s experience and scope. The leader will build an initial organization of eight enterprise account executives, each paired with a field development engineer, and may scale the team toward 16 sellers when execution and economics support growth. The role will define the team’s operating model, hiring standards, coaching cadence, named-account strategy, and enterprise sales plays. It will also involve personally advancing major opportunities and developing technical, outcome-led motions that turn initial deployments into strategic, multi-product relationships. Success will be measured by net-new enterprise ARR, qualified pipeline, win rates, sales-cycle performance, forecast accuracy, and AE/FDE pod productivity. The role partners with Marketing, Product, RevOps, and Customer Success and works with senior product, engineering, and go-to-market leadership. The opportunity is to build a major enterprise business on top of Telnyx’s globally deployed infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Experience building and leading enterprise sales teams selling complex B2B technology into large North American accounts.
  • Personally helped close meaningful seven-figure customer relationships.
  • Understand how technical evaluations become enterprise contracts.
  • Comfortable selling alongside engineers and discussing latency, integrations, APIs, architecture, security, and cost tradeoffs.
  • Ability to recruit excellent enterprise sellers, coach them in live deals, and build an accountable sales culture.
  • Ability to manage pipeline coverage, conversion, representative productivity, and customer economics.
  • Operate with urgency, spend time with customers, and build a sales playbook rather than waiting for one to be provided.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, AI, networking, communications, or adjacent markets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead an initial team of eight enterprise account executives, paired one-to-one with field development engineers, and scale toward 16 sellers when justified by execution and economics.
  • Set the team’s pod operating model, hiring bar, coaching cadence, and performance expectations.
  • Develop a focused named-account strategy, assigning roughly 30 to 40 named accounts per seller and prioritizing targets with credible seven-figure annual revenue potential.
  • Create a technical, outcome-led sales motion in partnership with field development engineers, including architecture qualification, deployment planning, evaluations, and commercialization of initial use cases.
  • Develop repeatable enterprise sales plays for AI-powered customer engagement, contact centers, voice agents, agent assist, programmable communications, real-time network services, and AI infrastructure.
  • Build executive and multi-threaded relationships across engineering, product, CIO/CTO organizations, operations, security, procurement, and business leadership.
  • Navigate security reviews, complex commercial terms, and long buying cycles.
  • Own territory design, pipeline creation, deal inspection, qualification, forecasting, win/loss analysis, and talent development.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, RevOps, and Customer Success to improve new-logo acquisition and post-deployment expansion.
  • Recruit and coach enterprise sellers, including coaching them through live deals.
  • Personally help advance major opportunities and establish repeatable reference wins.
  • Drive net-new enterprise ARR, qualified pipeline creation, win rates, sales-cycle performance, forecast accuracy, and AE/FDE pod productivity.
