About The Position

The Director, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is a leadership role, responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and governance of projects within the organization. With strong leadership skills, expertise in project management methodologies, and ability to drive process improvement, this role plays a crucial role in delivering efficiency, consistency, and excellence in project execution within the business. The Director, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) strives towards fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving operational excellence.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in project management or Business or Information Technology or a related field.
  • Relevant Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Significant experience in project management in a cross-business area capacity.
  • Significant project management experience including high complexity, cross business area projects.
  • Significant experience in using project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Significant experience with flowcharts, technical documentation and schedules.
  • Significant experience managing the entire project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures project management standards within the EPMO and increasingly across and within the organization.
  • Designs and develops best practices, processes, and policies related to project management.
  • Oversees the prioritization of projects according to business objectives, organizes projects into a portfolio and develops governance processes, develops capability and capacity globally.
  • Provides guidance on tools, measurement strategies, surveys, and scorecards.
  • Directs the strategic processes that the business uses in order to make them as effective and repeatable as possible.
  • Fosters strong working relationships across business areas and geographies.
  • Manages and executes all stages of strategic and tactical internal projects.
  • Identifies and communicates critical project risks to senior leadership.
  • Performs due diligence on potential new strategic projects and / or programs.
  • Allocates resources within negotiated project budgets and timelines.
  • Implements repeatable process methodologies to achieve strategic business objectives.
  • Facilitates team building and group collaboration and provides feedback and coaching to less experienced EPMO team members.
  • Helps teams confront challenges and performs conflict management.
  • Makes strategic and data-based decisions as required.
