Director, Closing, Strategic Investments

The Director of Closing is responsible for managing the closing of fund investments and proactive engagement of potential issues. This role will report to the Senior Director of Fund Investments and will focus on ensuring the successful performance of the funds, which invest in business and real estate assets. The Director of Closing will also be responsible for establishing and refining policies to improve operational and process efficiency.

Lead and support the activities necessary to design, raise, deploy, and manage Impact Funds

Conduct initial fund concept design and modeling

Market test fund concepts

Raise money from investors for the fund

Create the investment origination strategy

Manage the underwriting and investment process

Manage the closing process of fund investments

Asset management of commercial real estate and small business investments

Manage the cash and servicing operations of the funds

Support financial and impact reporting

Create the investment strategy and manage the small business loan funds

Establish and refine policies for operational and process improvements

• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Experience in fund management and investment origination
• Knowledge of commercial real estate and small business investments
• Ability to manage the closing process of fund investments
• Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with legal documentation and settlement statements
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of policies, regulations, and procedures related to fund management
• Experience in operational and process improvements
• Ability to manage a team and ensure accuracy and efficiency in tasks executed by the team.

• Competitive salary ($135,000 - $145,000 commensurate with experience and location)
