About the position
The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is seeking a Data Analytics Manager to join their team. The role involves assessing LISC's impact, ensuring data availability for mission-critical activities, and providing data analysis to support local offices and national programs. The ideal candidate should have strong quantitative and data management skills, the ability to collaborate effectively, and insights into community development and public policy questions. The Data Analytics Manager will work closely with internal staff across the organization and lead projects focused on embedding data analytics in decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in managing a portfolio of data-related projects, with a focus on internal data collection, maintenance, and analysis (e.g., Annual Data Review, monitoring CDFI Fund compliance, NHIA analysis)
- Contributing to an internal data Center of Excellence, focused on identifying methods to better share and analyze LISC's investment and transactional data internally
- Advising and contributing to efforts to design LISC-wide data systems that can more effectively manage our programs and communicate our impact
- Supporting the data needs associated with major funding applications, such as CDFI Fund funding and HUD Section 4
- Effectively and efficiently collaborating with local offices and national programs around data, research, and evaluation needs
- Performing all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate-level training in statistics, economics, or computer science or related discipline with experience in data analysis and data management; or BA level degree with at least 3 years of experience in data analysis and data management combined.
- Proficiency in Python or SQL programming.
- Proficiency in a statistical software (e.g. R, Stata, SPSS).
- Experience in GIS.
