About The Position

The Director of Clinical Services provides strategic and operational leadership for all clinical treatment programs across inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, including psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment. This role ensures the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered care through the integration of evidence‑based therapeutic modalities, effective supervision of clinical staff, and oversight of individual, group, and family counseling services. The Director is responsible for discharge planning to support safe and effective transitions of care, maintaining accurate and compliant clinical documentation, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. In collaboration with the hospital leadership team, the Director supports performance improvement activities, survey readiness, and overall clinical operations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work is required.
  • A current unencumbered clinical social work license (LCSW) or counseling license is required.
  • CPR certification and Handle with Care within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • Previous experience in inpatient healthcare, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles required.

Nice To Haves

  • In the absence of LCSW credentials, qualification for this position is contingent on the Hospital employing another LCSW per CMS’ Condition of Participation guidelines.
  • Previous management experience at the Director level preferred.
