About The Position

Munich Re is driving change in the life insurance industry through technology and data science. The Director, Client Implementation & Success will lead business analysis for client implementations and ongoing support of alitheia, a SaaS platform for automated risk assessment. The role serves as a key liaison between clients and Risk Specialists, Product Managers, Project Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers, translating complex business processes and data flows into effective solutions for North American clients. The Director provides senior-level guidance to business analysts and cross-functional team members, and helps deliver reliable, innovative solutions. The position includes client-facing implementation and support work, integration analysis and troubleshooting, requirements and documentation development, and leadership and mentoring of business analysts.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience in client-facing technical roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Ability to express complex ideas clearly and facilitate communication between clients and internal teams.
Experience with the full software development lifecycle.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving skills applied to business problems.
Attention to detail and organization.
Superior written and oral communication skills, including presentations to clients and internal management.
Experience producing technology project artifacts, including use cases, requirements documents, functional specifications, data mappings, and process flows.
Extensive experience working directly with clients to analyze, design, and document complex business processes and end-to-end data flows.
Hands-on familiarity with REST APIs, Postman, JSON payloads, integration testing, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated experience leading a team or serving in a senior team capacity.
Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and process-flow documentation tools.
Agility working across multiple internal teams and assignments in a dynamic environment.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
A drive to make a difference.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Individual Life or Disability Insurance (Direct Carrier or Reinsurance) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Skills utilizing Postman, Power BI, SQL, DataDog, Visio, Miro, Notion, and Jira are highly desired.
Experience with software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

Lead business analysis activities for client implementations and ongoing support of the alitheia SaaS automated underwriting platform.
Partner with clients to understand and document underwriting processes, system interactions, integration requirements, and end-to-end data flows.
Guide clients in using existing product capabilities and configurations to address their business needs.
Identify needs that cannot be met with current capabilities and work with clients and Product Management to define, evaluate, and prioritize potential features or enhancements.
Translate business and technical requirements into process flows, data mappings, client configuration sheets, and other implementation artifacts.
Use APIs, Postman, and JSON to support integration analysis, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
Coordinate with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, Risk, Data Science, and client stakeholders throughout implementation and ongoing support.
Triage client issues in test and production and work independently and cross-functionally to resolve them while minimizing client disruption.
Maintain accurate user guides, client-facing materials, internal processes, and support documentation.
Lead and mentor business analysts, provide day-to-day guidance, and support the development of less-experienced team members.
