About The Position

Kitsap Credit Union is in search of a Director of Centralized Funding Operations. The Director of Funding Operations leads and manages all funding and processing functions within the Centralized Lending department, ensuring operational excellence across consumer lending products. This role oversees multiple specialized teams, including Indirect Lending Funding, Non-Organic Lending Funding, and Centralized Lending Processing and Funding—and is responsible for aligning workflows across branches, the contact center, and digital channels. The Director plays a critical role in strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement to support scalable, compliant, and member-centric lending operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in lending operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing funding operations across centralized and indirect lending environments.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in consumer lending.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lending systems such as Origence, Blue Sage, DealerTrack, MeridianLink, or Jack Henry.
  • Familiarity with digital lending platforms and omnichannel member engagement strategies.
  • Exposure to loan pool packaging, forward flow agreements, and non-organic lending partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all funding and processing teams within Centralized Lending, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and member experience standards.
  • Design and implement operational frameworks that support seamless coordination across branches, contact center, and digital lending channels.
  • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant loan funding and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Dealer Management, Lending Administration, and Technology teams to optimize workflows and resolve cross-functional bottlenecks.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate funding operations with centralized lending platforms and automation tools, enhancing scalability and reducing manual touchpoints.
  • Monitor and analyze funding volumes, turnaround times, exception rates, and quality assurance metrics to drive performance and accountability.
  • Serve as a key liaison for vendor relationships and system integrations impacting funding operations (e.g., Origence, DealerTrack, MeridianLink).
  • Coach and develop team managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, operational excellence, and career progression.
  • Support strategic planning efforts related to forward flow, loan pool packaging, and non-organic lending partnerships.
