Centralized Processing & Operations Intern

Purpose Brands 414Fayetteville, NC
Onsite

About The Position

This internship offers a reciprocal opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience for the student while contributing meaningfully to the mission of PB414 by supporting the development of our centralized processing operation, exploring new systems and processes for merchandising and inventory, and helping transform community donations into thoughtfully curated merchandise and resources that create meaningful impact. This experience is ideal for students pursuing apparel merchandising, fashion merchandising, retail management, supply chain, business, or related fields who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in merchandising, inventory management, retail operations, and process development. As PB414 transitions to a centralized processing model for our thrift operations, we're creating new systems for how community donations are received, processed, organized, and distributed to our stores. As a Centralized Processing & Operations Intern, you'll work directly alongside our Processing Manager and team to learn the operation firsthand while gaining hands-on experience in apparel merchandising, product curation, inventory management, and retail operations. You won't spend the semester working on a project in isolation. You'll be part of the processing team, building relationships and learning how merchandise moves from donation to the retail floor. As you gain experience, you'll have increasing opportunities to contribute ideas, identify something within the operation that sparks your curiosity or could be done better, and take ownership of a project that could help shape the future of centralized processing. This is an opportunity to learn by doing, identify problems, test ideas, and help build something that doesn't fully exist yet, while leaving behind something that can continue to benefit Purpose Brands 414 after your internship ends.
