About The Position

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Funding Coordinator opportunity with our client. The Funding Coordinator is responsible for the specific duties listed below. Your specific duties will include: Managing the outstanding checks and balances process, ensuring the timely research and resolution of aged outstanding items. Partnering with branch offices to investigate discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and clear aged balances. Processing stop payment requests and coordinating check reissues in accordance with company procedures. Preparing and transferring unclaimed funds to state agencies in compliance with escheatment laws and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with the Home Office Insurance (HOI) and Tax departments to resolve outstanding financial transactions and ensure accurate reporting. Maintaining accurate records and documentation for reconciliations, stop payments, check reissues, and escheatment activities. Escalating outstanding checks and balances issues that cannot be resolved through standard processes to the appropriate department or management, following established escalation procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in the title insurance, escrow, settlement services, or real estate industry.
  • 2 or more years of funding experience.
  • Knowledge of escheatment (unclaimed property) laws and procedures.
  • Familiarity with trust accounting, funding operations, or financial reconciliation processes.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
