About The Position

The Center for Associate Well-being is a resource for all associates at Nemours Children’s Health and is central to support our mission to develop the Healthiest Workforce in America. The Director's focus is to lead the design, direction and implementation of well-being programs that address the current stressors facing clinicians, health professionals and staff associates. The goals of the center include facilitating system wide programs that enable team members to effectively practice in a culture that prioritizes and promotes well-being and professional fulfillment while optimizing the function of Nemours Children’s Health and establishing a robust well-being research foundation. The Director of the Center for Associate Well-being is a demonstrated leader in program management to advance the best interests of the Office of Well-Being and will report to the Vice President, Chief Well-being Officer. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Service field (Psychology or related field) or Public Health (MPH)
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral Degree in Social Service field (Psychology or related field) or Public Health (MPH) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Directly manages well-being and wellness managers who coordinate a series of programs and related activities including establishing long-term objectives, researching factors that may impact the success of the program(s), developing promotional materials/venues, managing related databases, and establishing/forecasting/tracking budget requirements. Directly oversee the Nemours Peer Support Program, the Nemours Litigation Peer Support Program, and the Associate Well-being Coalition.
  • Maintains an understanding of the vision, objectives, and priorities of the Center for Associate Well-being, while communicating those aspects clearly with colleagues.
  • Manages the strategic planning process and oversees progress toward achieving project goals.
  • Develops and administers project budgets as needed.
  • Participates in the identification of funding sources, initiatives and strategies.
  • Prepares communication documents for articles, reports, and/or presentations.
  • Develops short and long-term project goals and objectives.
  • Represents and promotes projects at speaking engagements and with various constituencies.
  • Conducts research, analyzes data and identifies and summarizes trends.
  • Ensure alignment of programs and related activities that focus on well-being for Nemours clinicians and staff and collaborate with Nemours staff and well-being champions across the enterprise.
  • Communicates with kindness, clarity, and precision with collaborators via in-person meetings, virtual meetings.
  • Provides timely reports to the Chief of Well-Being Officer or other Nemours leaders, and granting organizations as required by agency/office regulations.
  • Serves as a liaison with other departments and represents projects at meetings and events.
  • May hire, supervise and evaluate staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
  • Partner with well-being team in identifying and evaluating environmental risk factors for burnout, recommending modifications when necessary.
  • Participate in development of quality improvement, and research projects, and development of Well-being programs
  • Providing education and well-being programming for associates
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and department/unit leaders in the collection, analysis and evaluation of well-being data
  • Attend regular staff meetings, trainings and other meetings as requested.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Track interventions and outcomes
