About The Position

The Director, Business Process Excellence is a subject matter expert on the GTM Transformation team, designing and optimizing end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) workflows across the CRO organization through the lens of the full customer lifecycle. The role represents Marketing, Sales, Partner, Customer Success, and GTM Operations in enterprise process design, ensuring systems and workflows support seller and customer success throughout the customer journey. The Director applies experience across enterprise process models to diagnose and rebuild workflows for Equinix, working strategically and in operational detail within a highly matrixed enterprise. This role connects business and technology, helps prioritize technology investments and their sequence, and builds the CRO organization's process optimization capability so it can scale beyond individual projects or people.

  • At least 8 years of experience in process design, business architecture, or operations.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, CPQ or quoting platforms, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with process frameworks such as BPMN or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience designing processes across geographies and business models.
  • Ability to diagnose ambiguous processes and assess impact across the end-to-end customer journey.
  • Data-driven approach to root-cause analysis and process design.
  • Ability to develop business cases and value metrics that connect process and technology investments to outcomes.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, including influencing without authority in a matrixed organization and engaging technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Translate GTM business needs into process requirements for the CDIO technology team and evaluate opportunities for AI and automation to optimize processes.
  • Connect business and technology by explaining technology needs, investment sequencing, business cases, and value metrics.
  • Advocate for CRO priorities with clear business context without assuming technical ownership.
  • Collaborate across CRO functions, CDIO (Technology), Operations, Product, Finance, and other groups, building trust and influence without formal authority.
  • Partner with GTM leaders, Strategy, and Change teams, and represent CRO Operations in enterprise process optimization forums.
  • Establish documentation standards, monitor process performance and adoption, and maintain a reusable repository of GTM process assets.
