About The Position

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director, Business Insights to join our team! The Director, Business Insights is accountable for enterprise-wide pharmacy cost, trend, and value strategy across non-specialty PBM, specialty PBM (inclusive of Lumicera), and advanced analytic constructs. This role establishes governance, methodology alignment, and executive decision support for how cost and utilization trends are modeled, interpreted, and communicated—internally and externally. Serving as the strategic intersection of analytics, clinical insight, financial rigor, and market positioning, this Director ensures that disparate methodologies (e.g., rebate-inclusive vs. copay assistance–inclusive models) are transparently governed and translated into a unified enterprise narrative. The role directly influences pricing strategy, co-bidding decisions, client value propositions, and growth positioning for Navitus and Lumicera, while reinforcing analytic credibility with clients, prospects, and the broader market. The Director, Business Insights will lead the teams to perform advanced to highly complex analyses in support of business case studies, data-driven insights, presentations, and reports focusing on forecasting and assessing performance of pharmacy cost and drug utilization trends as well as evaluating the economic effectiveness of our clinical management practice. This role will lead the development of models to forecast/predict future pharmaceutical utilization and cost trends by leveraging leading-edge analytic methodologies, computational modeling and simulation techniques that will further enhance the understanding of how the Navitus model delivers value to current and prospective clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in information systems, mathematics, actuarial science, finance, statistics, business, or related fields, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • 10+ years of progressive Business, Finance, and Analytics experience for internal and external clients required.
  • 10+ years leading teams focused on financial valuation analysis, modeling, and predictive analytics required.
  • Demonstrated experience with planning, organizing, and focusing on business outcomes required.
  • 3+ years’ experience with leading across and interacting at all levels of organizations (both internal and external) required.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy benefit management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and chair enterprise governance for pharmacy trend and cost methodology, including PBM, specialty, and third-party analytic models, ensuring leadership and clients clearly understand comparability limitations and decision-use cases.
  • Define enterprise standards for forecasting, trend reporting, and cost prediction, including when alternative analytic views (e.g., Archimedes) are appropriate for strategic illustration versus financial decision-making.
  • Own analytic governance for co-bidding of non-specialty and specialty PBM solutions, including expected cost prediction by line of business, explicit articulation of key assumptions (e.g., rebates, copay assistance, clinical program impacts), and development of executive-ready risk framing and scenario analysis. Ensure trend and cost outputs are defensible, repeatable, and audit-ready for internal governance and external scrutiny.
  • Integrate clinical effectiveness, utilization management outcomes, and qualitative insight into cost and trend strategy, ensuring analytics reinforce—not undermine—clinical intent.
  • Apply a disciplined actuarial mindset to enterprise forecasting, including sensitivity testing, scenario modeling, and uncertainty framing, without functioning as a formal actuarial role.
  • Own the enterprise analytic narrative used in market-facing materials, RFPs, and executive client discussions.
  • Determine the optimal positioning lens for analytics and value messaging—Navitus, Lumicera, Archimedes, or an integrated enterprise view—based on client, segment, and competitive dynamics.
  • Lead development of sales justification and market presentations that clearly articulate the total value and depth of enterprise services, the economic impact of specialty and clinical programs, and differentiation from competitor PBM and specialty strategies. Ensure analytic outputs are appropriately translated for financial, clinical, and executive audiences.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop publications, white papers, and insight briefs highlighting real-time market interest and emerging trends, specialty drug pipeline and utilization shifts, and counter-strategies to competitor narratives. Ensure all externally facing analytic content reflects the full Navitus–Lumicera service portfolio, reinforcing credibility, sophistication, and enterprise scale.
  • Guide messaging that positions Navitus and Lumicera as analytic and strategic leaders, not just PBM operators.
  • Lead and scale a multi-disciplinary Business Insights organization, aligning talent, tools, and priorities to enterprise growth and strategy.
  • Build upon and evolve the Navitus Key process to fully integrate specialty pharmacy, advanced analytics, and enterprise trend governance.
  • Responsible for overseeing development of a Navitus Annual Drug Trend Document.
  • Other duties as assigned
