Identifies, develops and closes business opportunities with new customers. Continuously improves business through business development, engineering, project management activities. This role is a Salaried Exempt position with an Executive Exemption classification. The role involves developing and executing strategies and sales plans to generate revenue and gross margin, understanding the market to direct technology and innovation, finding and qualifying new customers, building positive business relationships, and finding solutions for articulated and unarticulated market and customer needs. Sales calls will be made on new markets and/or existing customers and markets. The position requires creating customer value propositions, collaborating with internal departments (Innovation, Advanced Manufacturing, Design, Strategic Accounts, Integration, Operations, Finance and Accounting, and People Resources), establishing and maintaining contact with key customers, providing input into key business systems, obtaining and utilizing market and competitive information, and facilitating the development of business agreements, pricing, and contracts. Ongoing development through internal learning, external conferences, and literature is expected. Potential contact with hazardous chemicals may occur, and environmental responsibility, including proper waste disposal, is expected. The ability to deliver on sales plans, revenue targeting, and profit is crucial. Any other tasks required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers may also be assigned.
