The bigger picture We’re looking for a seasoned, member-focused leader with deep expertise in commercial and agriculture banking to come on board as our Director, Business Banking. In this role, you play a critical role in leading the execution of the business banking strategy across commercial and agricultural portfolios. You lead high-performing sales an advice teams to deliver sustainable growth, strong portfolio performance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in business and/or agriculture lending, including credit analysis, deal structuring, adjudication support, and portfolio monitoring
  • 3+ years of experience leading people managers and driving consistent execution across teams
  • Relevant post-secondary education in a related field, plus relevant commercial credit/lending training
  • Exceptional sales and business development capability in commercial/agriculture banking

Responsibilities

  • Providing people leadership and performance oversight to the business banking team to drive sales results, member experience outcomes, operational excellence, and community impact.
  • Serving as the Business Banking Subject Matter Expert (SME) on enterprise projects and initiatives, representing and advocating for business banking objectives, risks, and operational impacts on enterprise initiatives, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and member focused.
  • Developing and executing business banking strategies that deliver sustainable growth, portfolio quality, member loyalty, and operational efficiency.
  • Providing strategic leadership and oversight for the delivery of sales and advice to commercial and agricultural members to support them in achieving their goals, improving their overall financial.
  • Driving sustainable financial performance through revenue growth, expense management, portfolio performance, and effective management of business unit and individual performance.
  • Monitoring and improving operational performance (quality, cycle time, and risk controls), balancing efficiency, risk controls, and member experience.
