Responsibilities

• Has administrative responsibility for delivery of patient care and facilitation of all activities within Behavioral Health and related family services.
• Directs the leaders of clinical activities in behavioral health and family services to promote high quality and efficient care of patients.
• Develops care practices that assure the highest level of safety and quality, patient satisfaction and a strong culture of teamwork among nursing, medical and support personnel.
• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed.
• Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Analyzes financial performance including profitability, market share, utilization of resources and physician practice patterns, and makes plans to positively impact results.
• Leads and directs overall operations of psychology, social work, chaplaincy, child life, and child development programs and services.
• Sets strategic direction and ensures necessary resources are in place to support the departments' goals.
• Analyzes trends and statistics to promote efficient utilization of resources and promote quality improvement.
• Ensures effective coordination and collaboration with other departments and the medical staff.
