About The Position

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is a 140-bed hospital offering inpatient services for adolescents, adults, military, veterans and first responders. Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has a spacious cafeteria, gymnasium, art/activity room, group rooms, classrooms and other areas to create a pleasant atmosphere for patients and their families. Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System’s quality services are provided by psychiatrists, licensed therapists, certified alcohol and drug counselors, activity therapists and teachers. Also, care is given by registered nurses 24 hours a day. Since 1986, Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has been a proven psychiatric care provider in mental health and substance use. The Admissions/Intake Director is a key member of the Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System's Intake department. The Admissions/Intake Director is responsible for implementing and evaluating the facility's admission procedures.

Requirements

Master’s Degree In Psychology/Sociologyor any related field or RN.
Two years supervisory experience in an admissions setting or office management.
Knowledge of assessments, Pre-certs, insurance, Cobra, computer system a plus.
Two years practical experience, preferably in the psychiatric/mental health field.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, plan and administer a full-scale admission procedure for all time periods and that is specific to all populations served.
Monitor and report on all documentation relating to assessments and admissions regarding inquiry, nonviable dispositions, referral source follow-up patient satisfaction, discharge, etc.
Monitor and report on all documentation relating to the Business Office including insurance verification, financial arrangements, etc. for the patient admission process.
Maintain a courteous and respectful demeanor at all times with all LTBHS patients, potential patients, referral sources, and significant others.
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all referral services.
Coordinate internal activities to establish a positive working relationship with each hospital unit/program and LTBHS staff at all levels.
Submit daily status reports to the Administrator.
