Mile High United Way is seeking a Director, Accounting and Financial Reporting who is committed to equity and has a personal connection to the organization's mission, vision, and values. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing key accounting and reporting functions, including budgeting, financial and regulatory reporting, internal controls, risk management, and compliance. The Director will also support payroll, time & attendance, and employee benefits functions, present to the Board of Directors and Finance and Audit committees, and assist with treasury and cash management. A significant part of the role involves leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring a team of up to four staff members, ensuring robust policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place for flawless audits. The Director will collaborate with program leaders to educate them on finance procedures and support program operations, and partner with the CFO, senior leadership, and HR/IT staff to enhance integrated functions. The goal is to create and sustain a high-performing, mission-driven Finance department with high employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.
