Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will act as a strategic partner to management and lead a dedicated accounting team. You will play a key role in financial reporting, cost and project tracking, process optimization, and the evolution of integrated technological tools.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA designation
  • A solid background in finance—with at least 8 to 10 years in Controller roles—including significant experience in team management
  • An excellent understanding of budgeting processes, financial analysis, and treasury management
  • Good knowledge of work-in-progress (WIP) and project tracking, ideally within a construction context
  • Experience implementing or improving ERP-related processes
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both French and English, orally and in writing

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience in a public accounting firm, considered a major asset
  • Knowledge of Acumatica (an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Mobilize, mentor, and develop a competent accounting team
  • Produce and analyze monthly financial information to support business decisions
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring of costs, work-in-progress, and construction projects
  • Contribute to improved operational efficiency through the analysis of production costs
  • Lead financial forecasting and the annual budgeting process in collaboration with management teams
  • Optimize treasury management, cash flow, and relationships with financial institutions
  • Oversee the annual audit and ensure effective collaboration with external auditors
  • Actively participate in the implementation, improvement, and integration of financial and operational systems
  • Strengthen internal controls and contribute to the evolution of financial processes
  • Develop performance indicators, management reports, and dashboards to support decision-making
  • Support acquisition projects and the financial integration of acquired companies as needed
