About The Position

This position combines two facets of client financial responsibilities, split approximately 50/50 between client financial analysis and campaign funding, payment processing, and reconciliation. The incumbent supports the financial management of client accounts, including reporting, budget tracking, revenue forecasting, work-in-progress (WIP) analysis, billing preparation, account financial health monitoring, supporting account teams, master data management, contract review, and pricing support. The role also includes financial administration of influencer and content creator campaigns in CreatorIQ, ensuring financial data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across internal financial systems, tracking files, and the external platform. The individual collaborates closely with Finance, Account Teams, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, clients, and external partners to ensure rigorous financial execution and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of finance experience in a public relations, advertising, consulting, or professional services environment.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, filters, lookups, pivot tables, and structured tracking files.
  • Experience with Maconomy and CreatorIQ is an asset.
  • Experience in purchase order management, invoice processing, payment tracking, budget reconciliation, and related financial operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate financial data across multiple files and tracking tools.
  • Ability to manage recurring monthly processes while identifying exceptions, missing information, and required adjustments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with Finance, Account Teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Basic knowledge of tax concepts, compliance, and invoice validation is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the financial management of client accounts, including budget tracking, revenue forecasting, WIP review, billing preparation, and financial reporting.
  • Proactively identify and report on risks to account financial health, including budget overruns, accounts receivable issues, contractual deadlines, margin pressures, over-servicing, and billing challenges.
  • Coach account teams on best practices for client account financial management, including budget tracking, billing preparation, approval processes, and issue tracking.
  • Set up and maintain budget tracking files as needed, and ensure the accuracy of client and project master data, including payment terms, rate cards, approvers, and other financial information.
  • Support billing quality by performing a second review of billing packages, invoices, project code creation requests, write-off forms, and other financial process requirements.
  • Participate in month-end activities, including revenue review, journal entries, deferred revenue, reconciliations, WIP updates, revenue forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Participate in the review of new client contracts, pricing, and financial requirements related to new client onboarding.
  • Collaborate with account teams and financial partners on project tracking, scope changes, billing schedules, forecast updates, and financial risks.
  • Manage campaign funding needs, coordinate information related to purchase orders (POs), and ensure campaigns are accurately and timely funded.
  • Track campaign payments, including funding status, invoice approvals, payment status, and remaining balances.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to resolve missing information, funding adjustments, invoice queries, and payment issues.
  • Prepare tax reconciliations and journal entries by comparing payments made to applicable tax amounts and reporting any anomalies before the closure of unused funds.
  • Perform financial reconciliations for campaigns, including POs, invoices, payments, taxes, credit notes, and remaining balances.
