About The Position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and care to individuals living in Skill Creations, Inc. residential facilities. Residents may need physical medical care, behavioral support, cognitive support, and assistance with independent living. The DSP provides care according to each individual's needs, including assistance and education with personal care, medication administration, and independent living skills. DSPs also transport or accompany individuals to community activities and local or out-of-town appointments. Full-time and part-time residential DSP positions start at $17.60 per hour. Back-up and PRN positions pay $17.00 per hour. Full-time employees scheduled for 30 or more hours per week are offered a benefits package. Requirements

High school diploma or GED from an accredited school.
Criminal record check.
Prompt and regular attendance for the assigned work schedule.
Ability to work during inclement weather and some holidays.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Complete required CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management coursework.
Basic computer skills for email, electronic training modules, and recording data.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to balance, bend, stoop, and kneel occasionally, and remain on one's feet most of the time.

Responsibilities
