About The Position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and care to individuals living in Skill Creations, Inc. residential facilities. Individuals may need physical or medical care, behavioral support, cognitive support, and assistance with independent living. Care is provided according to each individual’s specific needs and may include assistance and education with personal care, medication administration, and independent living skills. DSPs also help transport or accompany individuals to community activities and local or out-of-town appointments. The posting lists full-time, part-time, and backup/PRN opportunities across shifts. Full-time employees scheduled for 30 or more hours per week are offered a benefits package. Requirements

High school diploma or GED from an accredited school.
Criminal record check.
Prompt and regular attendance for the assigned work schedule.
Work during inclement weather and some holidays.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Basic computer skills for email, electronic training modules, and recording data.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to balance, bend, stoop, and kneel occasionally.
Ability to be on their feet most of the time.
Complete required coursework for CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management.
