About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Willingboro, New Jersey. The role supports adults with autism and intellectual or developmental disabilities by providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner. The schedule is Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44.

Direct Support Professionals help residents develop daily living skills, encourage independence through personalized plans of care, and plan community events and outings. They work as part of a supportive, accountable team and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The work can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging, and weekend availability is required.

Bancroft is a care team of 2,700 employees across more than 200 facilities and homes in New Jersey and Delaware. The organization serves children and adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities, as well as people in need of neurological rehabilitation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work well in teams and openness to learning new skills.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Current driver’s license in good standing.
