About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Willingboro, New Jersey. The role provides quality, empathetic support to adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities. The scheduled shifts are Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44.

Direct Support Professionals help residents develop daily-living skills, encourage independence using personalized care plans, and plan events and outings. They work as part of a supportive, accountable team and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. Bancroft describes its work as helping children and adults with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and people who need neurological rehabilitation.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver’s license in good standing.
• Have a strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
