About The Position

Arise/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Liverpool area with a young woman. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to provide her with support and assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to assisting with transportation, meal preparation and general independence. The individual is generally quiet, easy going, and laid back. The individual enjoys older cartoons, painting and creating new things. The individual benefits from someone who can encourage and support her to explore new activities and interests. Applicants must be okay with dogs. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and friendly. Prior experience a plus. DSP should feel comfortable participating in physical activities, trying new experiences, and helping her explore activities of her interest. Valid NYS driver's license and a reliable vehicle required. All new hires must complete a five hour initial training online; the training rate is $17/hour. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Pay Rate: $25/hour Hours: Up to 15 hours/ week; 3 Days a week; Monday Through Friday between 1pm to 6pm and occasional Saturdays. Flexible schedule if necessary for the right fit. Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy
