About The Position

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Inner city of Baldwinsville (DJ– AO). The individual is a 32-year-old male seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist with teaching social skills, pursuing hobbies and interests, and teaching skills for independent living. He is easy-going and soft-spoken, interested in music, guitar lessons, video games, computer use, movies, walking in parks, and volunteering at an animal shelter. The position requires transportation to guitar lessons and friend's connection events. This is a part-time position with potential for additional hours with other agency clients. The start time is flexible, excluding Wednesdays, with up to 20 hours per week.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
New York State Driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Proof of auto insurance.
Acceptable driving record.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
