About The Position

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Inner city of Syracuse (DJ– EV) 23 male, inner city of Syracuse is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist with pursuing his hobbies and interests, working on household chores and to assist with being more involved in recreational activities and exercising. He likes to spend his time outdoors, going on hikes, sightseeing, walking his dogs, visiting the mall to ride the carousel and attending plays or concerts. The ideal candidate is required to have patience, as this person has a hard time transitioning from activities to the next. The ideal candidate should also be good at facilitating conversations when needed and should be energetic and active, willing to work out and take long walks. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. Start time and hours are flexible, up to 5 hours a week.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community
Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
New York State Driver's license
Reliable transportation
Proof of auto insurance
Acceptable driving record
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community
Effective communication and organizational skills required
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy
