About The Position

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide day-shift, one-on-one support to clients in their homes in Moscow Mills, Missouri. The role helps seniors and people with disabilities live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible. The posted schedule is Sunday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

DSPs assist clients with everyday in-home activities, provide companionship, and support participation in the community. They communicate with family members and other staff about concerns or challenges and help create a safe, positive living situation. Caregivers must meet state background screening requirements and complete organizational and state-required training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it before employment.
• Access to insured and reliable transportation.

• Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to work evenings and weekends while caring for clients with dignity, patience, and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with day-to-day activities, including meal preparation, cleaning, dressing, grooming, laundry, monitoring vital signs, bathing, toileting, technology, and other basic activities.
• Provide companionship through activities such as games and arts and crafts.
• Accompany clients to appointments, grocery shopping, events, and other errands outside the home.
• Communicate with clients’ families and other staff about concerns or challenges.
• Help create a safe and positive living situation for clients.
