About The Position

Arundel Lodge is a nonprofit organization working to ensure behavioral health disorders do not limit a person's ability to live a meaningful life in the community. Its mission is to improve the lives of children, adults, and families affected by mental health and substance use disorders through compassionate care, support, and opportunities for growth and independence. The Direct Support Rehabilitation Professional (DSRP) provides direct support and rehabilitation services to people living with mental health and substance use disorders. The role helps members develop essential life skills, increase independence, maintain daily routines, and participate in their communities. DSRPs support individualized rehabilitation and recovery goals through coaching, encouragement, and skill development, using the Recovery Model to promote hope, personal responsibility, peer support, respect, empathy, empowerment, and self-determination. They are expected to use non-stigmatizing language, recognize members' strengths, and respect their choices as they work toward greater independence and a meaningful life in the community.
