Direct Support Professional (weekend double shift)
About The Position
ReMed, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner, is seeking Direct Support Professionals for its residential program in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. The organization provides neurological rehabilitation to adults with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries, including treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues, and accident- or sports-related head injuries. This role provides clients with varying levels of assistance and supervision to support success in daily living tasks, recreational activities, and vocational pursuits. The position involves working with medically complicated and behaviorally challenged clients. The listed hourly rate is $20, or $21 for a CNA.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working with a variety of medically complicated and behaviorally challenged clients.
- Diplomas from non-U.S. educational institutions must include professional documentation/evaluation showing that the educational program is equivalent to or exceeds U.S. educational requirements; documentation is required prior to becoming an employee.
Responsibilities
- Provide clients with minimum to maximum assistance and/or supervision to promote success in daily living tasks, recreational activities, and vocational pursuits.
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
- Assist clients with therapies.
- Drive and accompany clients to appointments, activities, and other outings.
