FT Direct Support Professional (Benefits and PTO)
About The Position
Jill’s House is seeking Direct Support Professionals to care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in our fully accessible respite resort in Vienna, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the guidance and supervision of individuals to whom they are assigned. This role involves performing a combination of basic care, assistance with activities of daily living, and activity guidance in a safe, nurturing environment. The Direct Support Professional must follow each client’s service plan and ensure a positive experience for all participants. Training and professional development are provided, so experience is not required.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old, high school graduate or GED.
- Physical strength and stamina to engage with individuals and perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Must be able to work weekend shifts.
- Patience, good oral and written communication skills.
- Great team skills, willingness to learn and grow.
- Must affirm the McLean Bible Church Vision and Values as well as abide by the Standards of Christian Conduct.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months experience preferred.
