About The Position

Quality Connections is seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Flagstaff, Arizona. The role helps individuals live meaningful, independent, and fulfilling lives through person-centered care, daily support, and participation in their communities. DSPs work in supportive, team-oriented environments and may be assigned to different Quality Connections residential homes based on program staffing needs. Schedules vary and may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. The position offers an opportunity to build skills and make a positive impact.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
Meet applicable background screening requirements and obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Demonstrate compassion, patience, reliability, and respect for others.
Have strong communication skills and the ability to follow established support plans and procedures.
Be willing to complete and maintain required training and certifications.
Have a valid Arizona driver's license and acceptable driving record when transportation is an assigned responsibility.
Be able to perform essential job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Support individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and household routines.
Encourage independence, personal choice, and individual goals.
Assist with meals, hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility as needed.
Help individuals participate in community activities, appointments, recreation, and social opportunities.
Support health, safety, and medication routines when properly trained and authorized.
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the team.
Create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment that protects individual dignity, privacy, and rights.
