About The Position

Sevita is hiring a Direct Support Professional for its IDD Services in New Eagle, Pennsylvania. The role supports people with developmental disabilities as they work toward personal goals, build relationships, participate in their community, and live well. Duties include helping with personal hygiene and supporting individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs. The position is full-time, Sunday through Thursday, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., for 40 hours per week, at $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• At least one year of driving experience.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help participants grow, learn, and live well.
• Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist individuals with personal hygiene.
• Support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
